December fun!!

December was a very exciting and busy month for us! Here is a look at some of the great things we did!

The Lighting of Longleaf was great! The kids did an awesome job performing and looked so cute in their Christmas clothes.

Mrs. Jodi was such a cute elf!!

We also had a visit from Olive. She is a character from the the book " Olive the Other Reindeer".Mrs. Daniels read the story to our class! Everyone loved sweet Olive!

When we returned to school after Thanksgiving break, we had a visitor from the North Pole in our room. A scout elf named Holly moved around our room looking for boys and girls who were making good choices.

We let the teddy bears stay at school and have a sleepover with Holly, but they did NOT behave themselves! When we got to school the next morning, we were locked out of the classroom, and there was loud Christmas music coming from inside! We had to wait for Mrs. McCarty to bring us an extra key, and when we opened the door... this is what we found!!!!  A BIG MESS!!

The kids  quickly cleaned up the mess the bears made!
Frozen Day was a lot of fun! We made hot chocolate and had Frozen themed centers.

Shaving cream is so much fun!!
" Be careful, and only get it on your hands.."
They learned how to draw Olaf!

Right in the middle of the shaving cream shenanigans.... Santa stopped by for a visit! I was just as surprised as they were!! He was kind enough to let me take a picture of each child .

For our final hooray before Christmas break, we had breakfast!! They love donuts!

.....AND JUST LIKE THAT, HALF OF THEIR KINDERGARTEN YEAR IS OFFICIALLY OVER!
I can't wait to see all of the exciting things that 2017 will  bring!

October Adventures!

I know I am soooo behind with blogging, but better late than never.. right???

After fall break we had a very busy "short week". We learned all about paleontologists and dug for dinosaur bones. The kids were very surprised when a T-Rex showed up at the door!

That was the same day as our Alphabet Fashion Show!! I LOVED all of their cute costumes! I am so proud of how hard these kids worked to learn their letters and sounds! That is a big accomplishment! Here are a few pictures from the fashion show!!

We finished the week at Mitchell Farms, and we had a great time! Thanks to all of the chaperones who helped make the day successful!

We "visited" Mexico during Mm week! The kids learned all about the Mexican culture, and we celebrated with a fiesta on Friday! They were so excited to hit the pinatas!
